Big Things Coming!

Hey guys!  Josh here.  So excited to make the announcement that my good friend Timothy Sumida has decided to come on with The Metallic Dapper as my designated photographer.  Since moving to Orange County, so much has changed for me and my blog needed a fresh update!  Having a designated photographer is going to be an amazing upgrade for me and I couldn’t be more excited!  So stay tuned for some amazing photos and outfit breakdowns for late winter/early spring within the next few weeks and have an amazing day!  Oh… and here’s a little preview of my favorite wallet!

Ciao,

MD

The best NYE shoes you’ll find.

Let’s be honest, you need a killer shoe for all of your New Years Eve shenanigans so I decided to put together a little list of some of my favz. Break out that velvet jacket you’re “supposed” to save for occasions like tonight and rock it with a killer graphic t-shirt and you’re ready to go! Happy 2015 ya’ll!

It’s all in the details… Neckwear.

I love tied scarves used as a necktie.  I think it mostly has to do with channeling my inner Mr. Bingley.  Menswear was at like a historical all time high during Jane Austen’s time.  So fortunately for me, Berluti threw in a couple of tucked scarves into their FW 2014 lineup.  And let me just say…it screams class.  Or should I say whispers it.  The trend works so well because it inevitably evokes super high society British influence but still somehow tones down a suit to a really urban and approachable vibe.  Try it.  I dare you.

Dolce and Gabbana S/S 2015

Dolce and Gabbana used to be my absolute favorite design house in the early 2000’s. Kings of the runway, they put on some of the hottest fashion shows in the last 10 years (for instance S/S 2007) However, a few years ago they revamped their aesthetic incorporating more traditional Sicilian looks into their normally young line.  While the clothes were still beautiful, I personally wasn’t a huge fan due to their more mature nature.  I don’t know what happened but can I just say that I LOVE this new campaign?  Something about the fine tailoring mixed with the swanky Spanish details makes for an amazing start to the 2015 year!  What do you think?  Holler back in the comments bellow.ADV-SS-2015-DONNA-NO-LOGO-2 ADV-SS-2015-UOMO-NO-LOGO-3 ADV-SS-2015-UOMO-NO-LOGO-5
